Abstract
Досліджено сутність та специфіку професійної підготовки поліцейських в Україні, проаналізовано та узагальнено досвід професійної підготовки персоналу для органів поліції зарубіжних країн, зокрема Великобританії. Визначено, що в сучасних умовах швидкого розвитку інтеграційних процесів у світі та значного зближення країн у різних сферах суспільного життя виникає потреба в удосконаленні вітчизняної системи професійної підготовки поліцейських, що надасть змогу наблизити органи внутрішніх справ України до міжнародних та європейських стандартів у цій сфері. The essence and specific of the police training are researched in the article. The experience of professional training of foreign police bodies including the UK is analyzed. The author paid attention to the need of improvement of the national system of professional police training. Due to these conditions there will be a chance for Ukrainian agencies of internal affairs to bring the international and European standards closer to this sphere. At the same time, any social changes are impossible without the public order and legality, respect for human and civil rights which are ensured in the state. The National Police of Ukraine play an important role in these questions, but the main goal is providing police services in such areas as: providing the public order and legality; protection of the human and civil rights and the societies and state’s interests.
