Методологічною основою стало використання комплексу методів, що були необхідні для реалізації наукової мети й виконання поставлених завдань, а саме: метод герменевтики, що надав можливість опрацювати тексти нормативних і доктринальних джерел, з’ясувати сутність окремих наукових позицій сучасних авторів; метод абстрагування, використання якого сприяло осмисленню засад державної політики у сфері безпеки.The purpose of the article is to characterize the theoretical and legal foundations of public security policy.
