Досліджено світові тенденції страхування відповідальності судновласника та зроблено висновок, що міжнародна спільнота здійснює вказану діяльність через товариства взаємного страхування (страхування відповідальності Р&І). The article considers the content of the concept of civil liability in the context of the scientific paradigm and formulates the concept of shipowner’s liability insurance, determines that the institution of insurance is one of the keys to economic and social development of society.
