The article is devoted to the interpretation of the state and society as objects in the philosophical and philosophical views of Thomas Hobbes. Particular attention is drawn to the formation of the state and the life of the individual in society. It is shown that the thinker interprets freedom in relation to necessity and causality. The author shows the connection between freedom and discursive practice in the state.
