| dc.description.abstract | An explosion is a chemical reaction of an explosive or explosive mixture. Explosives are capable of an extremely rapid exothermic reaction associated with the formation of a large volume of high temperature gases. This reaction is usually triggered by initiation, which is the result of improper handling or other mechanical, thermal or electrical stimuli.
