Abstract
У статті розглянуто етапи та особливості формування в’язничної системи Королівства Данія з XVIII до другої третини XX ст., визначено правові та організаційні засади функціонування установ виконання покарань, особливості правового статусу засуджених, режиму та умов утримання, запропоновано авторську періодизацію еволюції тюремної системи. The article describes the stages and peculiarities of the prison system in Denmark since XVIII to the second third of the XX century, defines the legal and organizational framework for the functioning of penal institutions, particularly the legal status of convicts, treatment and conditions of detention, the author’s periodization of the evolution of the prison system.
