| dc.description.abstract | У статті розглянуто особливості практики забезпечення соціальної реабілітації засуджених та звільнених на прикладі Сполучених Штатів Америки, враховуючи високі показники рецидивної злочинності в цій країні, що межують із високим економічним розвитком. Станом на 2017 рік, за даними Національного інституту правосуддя, 75% звільнених правопорушників будуть знову ув’язнені протягом п’яти років після звільнення з в’язниці; цей високий рівень повторних злочинів зумовлений великою кількістю установ, зосереджених на покаранні, а не на реабілітації. The article examines the special features of providing social rehabilitation practice of convicts and released persons on the example of the United States of America, given the high rates of recidivism in this country, bordering on high economic development. As of 2017, according to the National Institute of Justice, 75 % of discharged offenders will be re-incarcerated within five years after their release from prison; this high rate of recidivism is due to the large number of institutions focused on punishment rather than rehabilitation. | |
