    В статті вивчається історія євгенічних практик, їх сприйняття в суспільстві та в праві. Проаналізовану тематичну літературу та етимологію, які стосувалися євгеніки та ставлення до неї в древньому світі. Констатовано, що євгеніка застосовувалася та віталася ще в стародавніх країнах, про що свідчать збережені праці тогочасних мислителів. The article studies the history of eugenic practices, their perception in society and in law. The thematic literature and etymology related to eugenics and attitude to it in the ancient world are analyzed. It is stated that eugenics was used and welcomed in ancient countries, as evidenced by the preserved works of contemporary thinkers.
