INFORMATION STRUGGLE IN GEOPOLITICAL SPACE(2019) Хорошко, Володимир Олексійович; Khoroshko, Volodymyr; Іванченко, Ігор Сергійович; Ivanchenko, IhorGeopolitics has always been associated with the security of the state, since geopolitical processes have arisen with the security of the state, because geopolitical processes have arisen and will arise about the counteraction between geopolitical entities for influencing this or that space. The result of this rivalry is the fact that some subjects gain an advantage and others lose it, which affects their security status. The purpose of the work is the consideration of the problem of information confrontation in the geopolitical space. The conditions and content of geopolitical competition in the information society are established and the threats of information and psychological confrontation in the geopolitical space are formulated. The information and psychological sphere and processes of social relations forming for geopolitical subjects are outlined. The position of geopolitics is investigated and the main qualitative changes that reflect the new conditions and content of geopolitical competition in the information society are identified. Major threats, that arise, are also identified, either as a result of information confrontation with the enemy state, or as a result of information war with it, namely the development by the state aggressor of the national information space, obstruction of the opponent protection of interests in geopolitical space, integration of the opponent. In general, according to the purposes of the confrontation, the objects and subjects of the threats of information confrontation are identified. Any component or segment of the information and psychological space can become the object of information warfare. The subjects of information warfare can be: states, their unions and coalitions; international organizations; non-state, illegal (including illegal international) armed formations and organizations of terrorist, extremist, radical religious orientation; transnational corporations; media conferences and media; virtual social communities; virtual coalitions. Thus, activities in the field of information and psychological confrontation and information influence are defined and considerable opportunities for their use in the present time are given.
