Abstract
Досліджено проблему релігійного тероризму в контексті загроз світовій безпеці. Доведено, що цей вид тероризму є одним із найбільш небезпечних і поширених у сучасному світі. Визначено цілі релігійного тероризму, серед яких апокаліптична, створення релігійного уряду (теократія), чистки за релігійною ознакою. Аргументовано нагальність потреби в удосконаленні вітчизняного законодавства у сфері протидії цьому явищу.The article considers religious terrorism in the context of threats to global security. In the process of analyzing scientific achievements of domestic and international scientists, it was found that religious terrorism becomes the most popular and dangerous type of terrorism based on the religious fanaticism. The purposes inherent exclusively to religious terrorism were identified, including: apocalyptic, formation of religious government (theocracy), purges on religious grounds. It was also acknowledged that terrorism in many countries of the world emerged not only in the result of political, religious, ethnic and economic contradictions and conflicts, but actually because of the high level of corruption.
