First aid
Zhilin, Taras
BLS (Basic Life Support), ITLS (International Trauma Life Support), PhTLS (Prehospital Trauma Life Support), The proposed course of lectures takes into account the provisions of the current normative legal acts regulating the activities of the National Police, as well as the key principles of modern theory and practice of providing emergency medical assistance, the basic rules of organization and methods of carrying out a complex of urgent measures aimed at terminating the influence of the factor (source) of the defeat , elimination of life-threatening phenomena, relief of suffering and the training of the victim to be sent to a health facility used in the event of accidents and injuries tovyh diseases. First aid is part of the training of modern police officers. In accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On National Police", a number of tasks are faced by them, in particular, regarding the provision of services for the assistance of persons who, for personal, economic, social reasons or as a result of emergencies, need such assistance, which necessarily involves provision of medical assistance to persons, who needs it. In order to implement in Ukraine international standards for the provision of emergency medical care among non-medical workers whose professional duties are related to the provision of medical assistance, by the order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine "On the improvement of training for the provision of medical assistance to persons without medical education "March 29, 2017, No. 346 approved the training programs of three levels. Thus, the first level - "Fundamentals of Life Support" (8 hours) - is aimed at training non-medical workers whose professional activities are not related to the risk of traumatic injury, poisoning (eg, office workers, service workers, teachers). The second level - "The first on the scene" (48 hours) - involves the preparation of persons obliged to provide emergency medical assistance to the victims in an emergency, but do not have medical education (this category also includes law enforcement officers). The third level - "Professional Life Support" (120 hours) is designed for drivers of special sanitary vehicles. The provisions of this order are based on international standardized clinical support protocols BLS (Basic Life Support), ITLS (International Trauma Life Support), PhTLS (Prehospital Trauma Life Support), where the basic algorithm of assistance is ABC, ie Airways (respiratory tract), Vreathing (breathing), Circulation (blood circulation). Such an approach is entirely justified, as today a policeman expects a well-considered and correct action on paramedical interventions while performing his professional duties, in particular taking into account the most progressive international standards of provision of medical assistance. The publication contains nine lectures, in which, in addition to the theoretical material and description of practical algorithms of action, there are questions for self-training. The structure of the publication also includes a list of test tasks and a list of recommended sources.
