The textbook "Criminal-executive law of Ukraine" is prepared by the team of authors, who are the relevant scientists and practitioners; the general edition is done by the Doctor of Law, Professor Y.Y. Barash. The content of the textbook is ding to the latest changes and amendments to the criminal-executive legislation, as well as to the latest trends in the national and foreign penology are taken into account. The textbook describes the issues of the current criminal-executive policy of Ukraine; the legal instruments, theory and methodology of the criminal-executive law; the system of the criminal-executive legislation; the criminal-executive legal relations and the legal status of the subjects and other participants of the criminal-executive process; the system of the penitentiary bodies and establishments; the competence and functions related to the use of the criminal-executive influence; the forms of control and supervision over the activities of the penitentiary bodies and establishments; the order, procedures and conditions of serving and enforcement of the criminal sentences; the types, grounds and procedure for the convicts’ release from serving the criminal sentences.
