Abstract
У рамках статті досліджено аспекти універсальних міжнародно-правових механізмів з питань наукових досліджень, які відображено в резолюціях Генеральної асамблеї (ГА) ООН. Відбито роль комітетів ГА ООН у підготовці й опрацюванні відповідних резолюцій. Відзначено роль періодичних резолюцій ГА ООН «Наука, технології та інновації для розвитку», які відображають однойменні резолюції Економічної та соціальної ради ООН і визначають основні орієнтири для держав і міжнародних організацій у сфері науки. Доведено, що зазначені резолюції встановлюють пріоритети щодо використання науки для подолання глобальних викликів, зокрема для подолання бідності, досягнення продовольчої безпеки, для підвищення сільськогосподарської продуктивності, забезпечення доступу для доступної, надійної, стійкої та сучасної енергетики, боротьби з хворобами, покращення освіти, захисту довкілля та протидії змінам клімату, а також закликають держави й міжнародні організації приділяти особливу увагу подоланню гендерної нерівності у сфері науки та досліджень. The article explores aspects of the universal international legal mechanisms for scientific research, reflected in the resolutions of the UN General Assembly. The role of the UN General Assembly committees in the preparation and elaboration of the relevant resolutions is highlighted. The role of periodic resolutions of the UN General Assembly “Science, Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Development”, reflecting the resolutions of the UN Economic and Social Council of the same name and defining the main guidelines for states and international organizations in the field of science, was noted. Author points that such resolutions are adopted by the UN General Assembly to set priorities for the use of science to meet global challenges, including poverty reduction, food security, agricultural productivity, access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy, disease control, education and environmental protection, combating climate change, and to call on States and international organizations also to pay special attention to tackling gender inequalities in science and research.
