Abstract
Європейська інтеграція як невід’ємна складова частина процесу глобалізації полягає у створенні необхідних інституційно-правових засад економічного, політичного та соціально-культурного зближення (конвергенції) «цивілізаційно споріднених національних спільнот». Ця тенденція зумовлюється прагненням європейських держав консолідувати зусилля в розбудові спільного простору верховенства права, соціальної справедливості, миру, добробуту, вільної торгівлі, безперешкодного пересування й комунікації, безпеки та правосуддя. Об’єктивним наслідком інтеграційних процесів стало конституювання Європейського Союзу, що ґрунтується на спільних інтересах і цінностях унікального наднаціонального міждержавного об’єднання, членство в якому громадяни окремих європейських держав водночас розглядають як додаткову гарантію зміцнення національної державності та розвитку громадянського суспільства. Євроінтеграція є вибором українського народу, що ґрунтується на усвідомленні європейської ідентичності, належності до європейської цивілізації та спільності історичної долі з європейськими народами. European integration, as an integral part of the globalization process, is to create the necessary institutional and legal foundations for the economic, political and sociocultural rapprochement (convergence) of “civilly related national communities”. This trend is driven by the desire of European states to consolidate efforts to build a common space of the rule of law, social justice, peace, prosperity, free trade, free movement and communication, security and justice. The objective consequence of the integration processes was the constitution of the European Union, which is based on the common interests and values of a unique supranational inter-state union, whose membership is considered by citizens of individual European states as an additional guarantee of strengthening the national statehood and the development of civic society. European integration is the choice of the Ukrainian people, based on the awareness of European identity, belonging to the European civilization and commonality of historical destiny with the European peoples.
