Abstract
Здійснено аналіз ключових тенденцій трансформації міжкультурної комунікації в умовах оголошеної на початку 2020 року пандемії, спричиненої поширенням хвороби COVID-19. Констатовано наявність парадоксальної ситуації, за якої світова спільнота, з одного боку, об’єднана спільним пошуком «шляхів виживання», адекватної стратегії розвитку соціальних практик, а з іншого – опиняється в умовах, за яких на зміну відкритості до діалогу, усвідомлення культурної самобутності інших людей приходить конфронтація, невизначеність, нехтування принципом толерантності, прагнення до відособлення або, навпаки, до домінування. Встановлено, що зумовлені пандемією соціокультурні зміни означені переважанням антисистемних (ірраціональних) дій, хаотичністю комунікативних процесів. Соціальне дистанціювання, локалізація комунікативного простору, ізоляція та впровадження тотального локдауну як невід’ємні атрибути пандемії суттєво обмежують міжкультурну взаємодію, зміщуючи акцент у віртуальний простір. The pandemic declared at the beginning of 2020 in response to the outbreak of COVID-19 was a pacing factor for emergence of adverse global trends. Under these conditions, culture, and particularly the intercultural communication, became the most vulnerable human endeavor. The aim and tasks. The aim of the study is to identify the key trends in the transformation of intercultural communication amidst the pandemic. Research methods. The socio-cultural approach, as well as the principles of historicism and systematicity, have been recognized as the tools of choice for the philosophical reception of intercultural communication. Research results. In the face of pandemic, openness to dialogue, recognition of other people's cultural identity are replaced by confrontation, disregard for the tolerance principle, craving for detachment or, conversely, for domination. Discussion. Results of the trend analysis in the transformation of intercultural communication amidst the pandemic are complementing the conceptual achievements of researchers in the context of modern global transformations. Conclusion. The socio-cultural changes provoked by the pandemic are marked by the dominance of anti-systemic (irrational) actions, chaotic communication processes, and their significant virtualization. The pandemic-induced space restriction, social distancing, isolation, and imposition of total lockdown are significantly limiting the intercultural communication thus shifting the focus to the cyberspace.
