Додатковий бронезахист транспортних засобів із використанням комбінованих кераміко-полімерних матеріалів

Abstract
The composition and structure of additional vehicle armor were investigated. It is shown that the structure of the combined material with the content of ceramic, polymer composite and metal layers is the most effective for the creation of promising protective structures. Designs have been developed for the additional protection of light-armored vehicles (LBT) against weapons of 12.7 and 14.5 mm caliber with the content of ceramic, fiber-polymer and metal layers. The increase of the level of ballistic protection and increased survivability of elements of the LBT structure, more than doubled weight compared to traditional metal armor, the possibility of easy dismantling and repair in field conditions are stated.
