Abstract
Мета.З огляду на політичну та наукову актуальність теми, автори поставилизавдання дослідити, якою була взазначений період роль міліції, у чому полягали її стратегічні та поточні завдання. Ураховано недостатню наукову розробленість теми. Саме 1940 рік було обранодля дослідження, оскільки він мав певні особливості, пов’язані зі змінами кордонів Української РСР і посиленням політичного напруженнянаміжнародній арені.У цій науковій розвідці автори відійшли від традиційного висвітлення діяльності міліції за напрямами (наприклад, боротьба з хуліганством чи бандитизмом), а керувалися передусім хронологічним принципом і схарактеризували основні напрями діяльності міліції протягом року. Purpose.Based on the political and scientific relevance of the topic, the authors set themselves the task to investigate what was the role of themilitiain this period, what were its strategic and current tasks. At the same time, insufficient scientific elaboration of the topic was taken into account. 1940 was chosen for the study because it had its own characteristics associated with changes in the borders of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic and growing international tensions. In this investigation, the authors departed from the traditional coverage of militiaactivities in areas (for example, the fight against hooliganism or banditry), and was guided primarily by the chronological principle and decided to cover the main activities of the militiafor one year.
